History
AES was established in 2004 by Electrical Engineer, Darrell Hutton. Having worked in the mechanical and electrical industry in and around Berkshire all his life, Darrell saw an opportunity to build a business that focused on quality and reliability, as well as competitive pricing tailored to meet client’s budgets.
In our first year of trading, AES had sales in excess of £600,000 and we have since built upon that initial success, despite difficult economic conditions, to achieve substantial on-going growth and a real presence in the mechanical and electrical contracting industry in London and the South.
Darrell is the Managing Director of the company, working alongside fellow Shareholder’s and Operations Director, Mark Parratt. Our team of office staff comprises of Senior Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and Designers, plus Administrative and Accounts staff. On site we operate with a team of Supervisors, Electricians, Mechanical Fitters and Apprentices.
Our head office is based in Wokingham in the heart of the Thames Valley and whilst some of the school and college work we undertake is in the local vicinity, much of our large commercial and high-end residential mechanical & electrical projects are in the centre of London.
As a guide to our clients, the general geographical area we operate in, stretches westwards across all the southern counties from Wiltshire to Kent and Northwards into Essex, Central London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex and Oxfordshire.
